Ultra-high-pressure RO
Extend the pressure capability.
Qualify the complete process.
Ultra-high-pressure reverse osmosis (UHPRO) provides a higher-pressure membrane-concentration pathway. TFX targets the compaction resistance required for demanding membrane duties.

PUBLISHED MATERIAL EVIDENCE
Built around a compaction-resistant support.
The company brochure reports laboratory TFX results at 200 bar and NaCl feeds up to 180 g/L, with greater than 99% rejection. It distinguishes those membrane-coupon results from commercial element ratings. (Wu et al., 2025)
The platform’s role is to expand the material-design options. The feasible process endpoint still depends on the feed, required water quality, recovery, and operating conditions.

PROCESS FIT
Evaluate UHPRO within the complete duty.
- 01
Pressure and materials
Confirm the ratings and compatibility of the complete element, vessel, pumps, piping, and seals.
- 02
Concentration and separation
Define the feed chemistry, rejection, recovery, and delivered water quality.

Alternatives and integration
Compare staged or hybrid options within the same feed, recovery, and product-quality boundary.
RELATED PROCESS OPTIONS
Compare the mechanism and the system.
UHPRO, osmotically assisted reverse osmosis (OARO), and low-salt-rejection reverse osmosis (LSRRO) address demanding concentration duties in different ways. They should not be ranked on pressure alone.
