Research test envelope

Separate studies. Clearly defined conditions.

This overview maps reported research conditions. It is not a product pressure-temperature-salinity rating chart.

Pressure & salinity study

200 bar

Up to 180 g/L NaCl

Reported high-pressure, high-salinity membrane-coupon testing. The company brochure reports greater than 99% NaCl rejection and approximately 90% water-permeance retention for the tailored membrane relative to 60 bar.

(Wu et al., 2025)

Separate thermal study

80 °C

Temperature-cycle research

Thermal performance was investigated independently. Do not combine this maximum with the pressure and salinity maximum from the 2025 study.

See the thermal test conditions →
There is no implied 200 bar + 180 g/L + 80 °C operating point. The published maxima belong to their reported experiments. A commercial operating envelope must also account for element construction, pressure-vessel limits, chemical compatibility, and service duration.

YOUR DUTY

Turn a test point into a qualification plan.

  1. 01

    Specify the simultaneous conditions

Define the pressure, temperature, feed composition, and recovery that occur together.

  2. 02

    Check the complete assembly

Assess membrane sheet, element internals, seals, vessel, and balance of plant.

  3. 03

    Establish duration and cycling

Agree on test duration, start-stop sequences, cleaning conditions, and acceptance criteria.
